India has 63 million MSMEs, and almost every one of them issues HR documents the same way — a messy Excel template, a Word file copied from a colleague, or a free online tool that quietly uploads the data to a server. The Code on Wages 2019, now enforced, made Basic ≥ 50% of CTC mandatory, which turned most of those old templates non-compliant overnight. First-offence penalties start at ₹50,000. Small businesses were left choosing between expensive payroll software and the risk of getting it wrong.

Docketry was built around one constraint — your employee data never leaves your device. Every generator runs as client-side JavaScript inside your browser's sandboxed thread. There is no upload endpoint, because there is no server receiving files. The name comes from "docket": the master list a clerk keeps, where every item is accounted for and checked off. That's the standard Docketry holds itself to — every document, in order, stamped compliant.

Phase 1 ships eight tools covering the full employee lifecycle — monthly payslips, onboarding letters, exit settlements, annual Form 16, and statutory calculators. Free through August 15, 2026. Because processing happens locally, there are no server compute costs to recover — so the core tools stay free. No paid tier, no upgrade nag, no "Pro" badge.
